Hi everyone!
Happy WOYWW #465. For those who don't no it's where we get a peak at other members work space.
I have a rather messy work in progress desk this week.
I decided to revamp my Craft & Create sign.
I covered it with black Gesso and now i'm wondering what to do next lol! I have so much mixed media stash that I have not used! I think I just need to have a mess around and see what I like. I can always cover it with black Gesso again right?
Have a great week and thanks for calling
xx Jan
Ah, black Gesso I had an addiction session with it a few months ago and last week watched someone paint roses on it. The first layer she used was white and it made such a difference.

There's nothing like a blank canvas to work on... just go for it and see where it ends that's what I do. We can always start again if it doesn't work out the way we intended. Look forward to seeing the end product.

I bet everything's covered in black gesso now, lol! Or is that just me - I remember using black grout when tiling once and there was more on me and the surroundings than was on the wall!!

It's sometimes difficult to choose which technique and/or material we use for a project, as we crafters have way too much stuff, but hey - I cannot miss one thing of it... and I bet you can't too ;) Good luck deciding how to go next, it already looks lovely! You can do anything on top of black gesso; as you say Jan, you can always cover what you do up again if you don't like it. Look forward to seeing the finished sign. Have a good week. Sarah #9
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you create. Enjoy.

That's always the hard part...what do I do next? LOL Sometimes I give myself an allotted time so I don't necessarily think, just do. Have a great week. Dorlene #30
